Our rates reflect the quality of materials, skill, and reliability that
come with professional service and a 12-month workmanship warranty.
We service Springvale and all South East Melbourne suburbs,
providing everything from general maintenance to full renovations and
emergency call-outs.
How We Price Our Work
Each project is assessed individually to ensure fair and accurate pricing.
Our pricing considers the following factors:
- Type of service â repair, installation, maintenance, or renovation
- Complexity and access â job difficulty, height, or special tools required
- Materials used â whether supplied by Project 258 or by the customer
- Travel distance â within our standard service area (Springvale & South East Suburbs)
- Urgency â emergency or after-hours work may incur an additional call-out fee

Standard Rates
General Handyman Work
From $90 per hour
Labour and tools included for small home repairs, adjustments, or fittings.
Fence & Gate Repairs / Installation
From $350
Includes timber, metal, or Colorbond. Price depends on size, material, and site conditions.
Auto Gate Repair & Maintenance
From $180 per visit
Electrical inspection, lubrication, and minor adjustments. Parts charged separately.
Rubbish & Green Waste Removal
From $100 per load (up to 1m³)
Includes loading and disposal. Additional volume charged per load.
Emergency Call-Outs (24/7)
From $200 minimum
Fast response for urgent structural or safety-related repairs.
Renovation & Home Improvement Support
Quoted per project
Full or partial renovationsâkitchen, bathroom, or outdoor spaces. Includes consultation and project coordination.
Additional Services
- Painting & Touch-Ups â from $180 per room
- Door & Window Repairs â from $120 per item
- Decking Maintenance â from $250 (clean, sand & reseal)
- Tiling & Grouting Repairs â from $150
- Furniture & Flat-Pack Assembly â from $80 per hour
Minimum Service Fee
A $120 minimum charge applies for small jobs or short visits.
This covers travel, setup time, and the use of standard tools.
Quotations
All quotes are free and obligation-free.
Each quote will include:
- A clear breakdown of labour, materials, and timeframe
- Any optional upgrades or recommendations
- Estimated completion date
For larger or ongoing work, we can provide staged pricing or
package quotes for convenience.
Payment Terms
- Payment method: Bank transfer only
- For jobs over $1,000: 50% deposit required before work begins
- Balance due: Within 7 days of job completion
- Late payments: May incur a 10% administration fee after 14 days

Warranty & Guarantee
All work performed by Project 258 includes a
12-month warranty on labour and materials supplied by us.
If any defect arises within the warranty period, we will return promptly to
inspect and correct it at no cost, subject to our standard terms and conditions.
